A stunning example of a Korean Moon Jar most likely from the Joseon period. The jar is of compressed ovoid form, raised on a short foot and with a straight rim, the body decorated with a large writhing dragon, the iron-brown design painted on the creamy-grey ground with minute brown specks, the base with an incised character, together with an inscribed tomobako wood box, 24cm.
