Famille Rose 'Dragon' Bottle Vase, Qianlong Mark but 19th Century
ovoid body extending to an elegant long neck with slightly everted mouth rim, the body delicately painted with three sinuous chi-dragons amidst lingzhi fungus against a gilded brocade-pattern ground, the neck similarly adorned with a dragon, the shoulder decorated with a band of feather-like tendrils against a blue ground, the base inscribed with a six-character Qianlong mark in iron-red. 29.5cm high
Provenance: Private English collection, acquired from an antique shop in Singapore in 1980s; with a circular paper label 'Wain Antiques, No. 5' attached to the base
